3rd Street Diner Review: My family and I have eaten
here probably 6 times in the last year, and the food was always fabulous. Having
lived in Greece for several years, the food is very authentic. They have all
kinds of things on their menu, something for every taste. The service has always
been great and the owner always makes it a point to check on your meal. Polee

twice, as it is in a convenient location and I thought perhaps the poor food
I experienced the first time was a fluke. It was not. Do not visit this diner.
The food was terrible and I really mean terrible. The first time I visited,
I was only able to eat half of a Greek combo type plate for various reasons
and my friend had to send back her Monte Cristo because the bread was still
wet with egg. Even after she got it back, I think she only at half as the taste
was not that great either. The second visit, I tried something totally differnt
(meatloaf and mashed potatoes). The meatloaf was cold, but OK. The mashed potatoes
looked great, but tasted like they had vinegar in them. The waitress said that
was roasted garlic...mmm, no...no it wasn't. The meat in my mother's sandwich
was very grissly (she could only eat half). The service the second time was
AWFUL...and the diner was not crowded, so there really was no excuse. All in
all...I gave this place a second chance, to be fair, and it was worse than the
first time I visited. This is the first restaurant review I've ever put on the
web...because I felt this place is just that darn bad. Really...don't waste
your time visiting the 3rd Street Diner. A La Carte Bistro Review: Great hand cut steaks, very
tasty. Very expensive. I would only suggest this for special occasions. Linda

than the norm. Everything is served family style. It is kind of pricey for two
people, but is a good place for a family. For example, an order of spaghetti
may cost $18 but it comes in a large bowl that will feed 4 or 5 people. The
atmosphere is pretty cool as well. It is like you are eating in the basement
of someone's Italian home. I also like how you get a first hand tour of the

Casa Marina Casadore Italian Cafe The Casbah Castillo de Mexico Chart House Review: This was the worse restaurant
experience I have ever had. I made reservations about 1 month in advance. When
we arrived at the rest we had to wait for over an hour. To add there was only
a few couples ahead of us. Also, had asked for water side dining, we were finally
placed (after I addressed the manager) by the kitchen in a table that was not
big enough for the 4 of us. We ended up kicking each other under the table due
to the cramped space. We tried to make the best of it. The food was horrible,
they had a buffet and shrimp bar. The shrimp were gritty and the food stations
for brunch were all crammed together and you would have to wait for > 15
minutes for a station. It was not a well planned Easter brunch on thier part.

(East Atlantic) Review: Went in and ordered our drinks
that took 15 minutes to get to the table. Ordered an appetizer that was there
before the drinks. Ordered food when drinks got to table and waited for 40 minutes
and still no food. Asked the waitress and she said that the kitchen was backed
up and she was sorry it was so long. Then about 15 minutes later, asked to speak
to the manager and he said that he didn't realize that there was a problem because
the order was just put in 10 minutes ago and there is only a 25 minute wait
time for food. We said that we were disgusted with the service and that we had
been waiting for an hour since we ordered food and everyone around us that came
in at least 20 minutes after us already ordered and had their food. He told
us that we would have to pay for our drinks (because they were beer) and he
would pay for the food when it came up, be we just wanted to leave. We used

(West Side) Review: This buffet is food well
prepared,home style, not fancy, good comfort food, price is very good, especially
for people like seniors on fixed incomes. Service is prompt with servers to
refill drinks and the buffet has large selection of different foods and desserts.
I would recommend to any person looking for good food and price. Early bird

restaurants. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the prices are
reasonable. The restaurant has a fun Tuscan theme. I recommend going early if
you want the lasagna because they only make a limited amount each day and when
they run out, you are just out of luck. Personally, I think Carino's is better

the menu needed to be designed by someone with grammar proficiency. Menu item
descriptions were terrible. Second, the food is overpriced for its slightly
below average quality. In particular, the fries with my sandwich tasted as if
they were cooked in old oil. Third, and most importantly, the service was HORRID.
The waitress was friendly enough, but considering we were the only customers
at lunchtime, it shouldn't have taken nearly an hour and a half to order and
receive our food. I will NOT be recommending this place to anyone. Le Pavillon Lemongrass Restaurant Lighthouse Grille Review: My husband and I are from
Atlanta and every time we come to Jacksonville to visit family we sneek a night
in to go to the Lighthouse Grill. We have always had the best service and our
meals have always been terrific. The salads are yummy and the prime rib is cooked
to perfection. We will definitely be back! Lily Bistro Review: On a friend's recommendation,
I took another friend to the Lily Bistro (Belfort Road, across from St. Luke's
Hospital) on Friday night for dinner and drinks. We both had fish and it was
the best I've had in a very long time. The service was friendly and though they
were very busy, was fast given all the tables she was serving. It doesn't look
as though it would be all that interesting from the outside, but inside the
restaurant was lovely and well-appointed. My only criticism would be that it
was a little loud for the quiet conversation we hoped to have, but like I said,
it was crowded and there was a large party of 12-15 people seated next to us
who were making most of the noise. I'll definitely be back as soon as possible

of the only smoker-friendly restaurants left in the city. A must for anyone
who enjoys imported draft beer. In the age of plastic, so called, authentic

Review: This restaurant is definetly NOT worth
the money, nor the drive. While the service was soright at first, nothing else
was. The Provolone con Salami was to laugh at. 4 peices of Oscar Mayer Salami(the
kind for sandwiches), some cheap cheese and olives. Server(I think the owner),said
it was to be served with bread. Well the bread was a no-show, until 10 minutes
later when we finally got to ask for some. For $6.95 it was a total rip. The
salads were obviously from a bag with brown edged lettuce and my sons had a
bug in it. I had the Shrimp Scampi for my entree. It was over cooked, making
it rubbery and hard to chew. Overall not tasty at all and beyond the 2 peices
I ate and the one for my husband to sample, it was not finished. The Chicken
Cacciatore was all show and had very few pieces of actual chicken in it. Their
"homeade" red sauce was nothing more than pureed, strained tomatoes
with maybe some salt and cilantro in it. Very bland and probably would have
been better with some tostada chips. Despite the Scampi not being finished (it
was really that bad), it was not taken off the bill, nor was any restitution
given. No discount,or even a on the house dessert. Also, the "made fresh
daily desserts," are NOT made fresh. The cream puff is a joke and came
in the manufacturers own plactic cup. You might be wondering if anything was
said to anyone about all this...yes, 2 people were told about the unsatisfactory
experience.One being the owner. Not much else to say after that. Like I said,
not even an apology.
